PhD Programmes

The Department of Mathematics of FCT/NOVA offers several courses leading to a doctoral degree in Mathematics. These are divided into two programmes:

PhD in Mathematics

• Algebra and Logic (AL);
• Analysis and Geometry (AG);
• Operations Research (OR).

The Faculty of Sciences and Technology has a division to provide support for PhD students and post-docs:  the Advanced Training Support Division.

Training courses

CMA provides multidisciplinary courses for PhD students delivered by invited researchers. The range of courses is intended to allow PhD students to learn about the state of the art of modern research topics.
